So for today, we would like to talk about romance and the themes in Dragon's Heart. Love is in the air 😍😍

So Dragon's Heart is an adventure, high-fantasy Boy's Love (BL) visual novel. We will be mostly talking about the Boy's Love aspect of Dragon's Heart for now, we will be talking about the adventure, fantasy and lore aspect of Dragon's Heart soon. 🥰

Our main protagonist in Dragon's Heart is Dorian Burnham. Before I give a short summary of the story, I highly recommend playing the demo for the visual novel first. It's available for Windows, and an Android port will be coming VERY SOON! Hehe

Dorian is a former paladin who, having lost his entire family—his wife and all four of his children—at the Tragedy of Tianho, lost his way in life and became traumatized. For three long years, he went into self-imposed exile in his deceased wife's hometown. It wasn't until he met Elias Drakos, a little toddler being hunted by King Gustav Nordstrom, and received an offer from Cheng Yuxuan himself two years later, that he found the courage to return to Tianho and visit the graves of his deceased family.

Upon his return to Tianho, he immediately stumbles upon an assassination attempt on the life of the emperor of Kyeongjang, Hyon Chung-hee. He meets Svante Nordstrom, an aldorith from the kingdom of Mjoll, and Niko Tsukumo, a prophet of the death god.

There is also a love interest that has not yet been introduced in the demo due to storyline reasons and a desperate lack of budget 😅 His name is Magnus Wyndham. I can't tell you much about him other than he is handsome (😎) and has two wings on his back.

The love interests are as follows:

- The emperor of Kyeongjang, Hyon Chung-hee💎

- The brilliant inventor, Cheng Yuxuan 🤖

- The prophet of the death god, Niko Tsukumo💀

- The troubled aldorith, Svante Nordstrom⚔️

- The artistic winged extraordinaire, Magnus Wyndham👼

These are the love interests of Dragon's Heart. These handsome guys will be the ones helping Dorian save the land of Ena from destruction, and at the same time, maybe help Dorian's heart recover and heal 😍 As Dorian, your choices in Dragon's Heart will determine which partner you will end up with (or not end up with)😁

I think it's important to address the fact that bisexual and pansexual people exist and they are not straight just because they happen to have a relationship with a member of the opposite sex. Gays and Lesbians are not the only people included in the LGBTQ+ spectrum.  🌈

As much as the visual novel demo is very narrative driven and not much of it focuses on romance, I guarantee that romance is very much an important part of the visual novel. The boy's love aspect is important just as much as the adventure and fantasy element.

While you will see more action and fight scenes for the second demo launch of Dragon's Heart in Chapters 2 and 3, you will get to see more of the romance aspect as well, since the affection meter will come into play. Your choices will affect a love interest's affection with you, and might increase or decrease depending on the choice.

We are actually thinking of making branching routes for each of the love interests, so that their stories will be fleshed out more. This will, of course, depend on the funds raised, since producing a visual novel is kindaaaaa expensive lmao. We will be including lots of CGs for each character route 😍

We are actually very very very inspired by the visual novel Dramatical Murder and their work. Their work is spot on. Also, it's very story driven. We are also inspired by Sinsations as well! Sinsations is a very good visual novel. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend you play it.

If there is a chance that we DO NOT MEET the target goal for the full game in our Kofi (😭😭), you can be assured that we will still do our best to release the visual novel, but we might cut corners in order for us to release the game, that might also include rewriting the game into a single route with different endings, depending on the love interest with the most affection points. 

Also, last but not the least, Dragon's Heart will be safe for work and will sadly not be containing any sexual content. This is to ensure that Dragon's Heart can be played and enjoyed by a wider audience without hiding it from their parents or friends. 😂 (I remember always hiding from my parents and friends when I was playing a certain BL NSFW visual novel haha)

Spoilers: There WILL be kissing scenes. (Idk if that counts as a spoiler but what the hell). There will also be make out scenes. There will be scenes where if the screen cuts to black, and the magic happens. Iykyk 😏 But we won't be describing it. We'll be leaving it to your imagination.

We hope you enjoy the adventure and fantasy aspect of it though 😀 While Dragon's Heart is a boy's love visual novel, it will not be shy into the lore of the world of Ena. Many side characters will be explored as well. Elias, Tim, Roboto, Weng are one of the examples.
